We are located in the center of Aow Yai, a 3 km crescent shaped beach on the western side of Koh Payam, The beach is never overcrowded and no noisy sport boats or jet-skis disturb the peaceful, natural atmosphere. Every evening you can watch the spectacular sunset over the southern islands of Burma. The peaceful tempo of the sea sets the rhythm for the quiet community atmosphere that defines Bamboo Bungalows.
Our comfortable accommodation suits all styles and budgets. The units are widespread about the property in a beautiful tropical garden. Most bungalows enjoy cool shade all day long provided by the tall trees that cover the property.
Our restaurant is open from 7:30 am until 10:00 pm. We are proud to offer a rich choice of Thai and Western dishes as well as fresh whole wheat bread baked daily. The shady and airy restaurant is located on the beachfront, it offers a variety of seating arrangements. The large open front area is the perfect spot to relax, read or chat with fellow guests.
A variety of water sports equipment including boogie boards, surf boards, kayaks, as well as mask, snorkel and fins are available to keep you active. We have a beach volleyball court and daily games, joined by guests as well as local people.
Electricity is run by solar power and generator from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm until 11:00 pm. As a Bamboo guest, feel free to charge electronics during this time. During this time our computers can be used for internet communication. For Laptop users we offer wireless internet connection.
